Honolulu Ocean Safety veteran lifeguard Tamayo Perry, 49, passed away on Tuesday, January 24th, after suffering injuries from a shark attack on the East Side of Oahu.

Tamayo Perry was not only a skilled lifeguard and surfer, but also an actor who appeared in films such as "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Blue Crush." He was well-known throughout Oahu and highly respected within the water safety community.
